The lights flickered around the walls, soon becoming a well-rehearsed dance. The boy watched them and imagined a musical soundtrack that went along with the dancing shadow. He was lying on the floor, with a book lying on his side. He closed his eyes, and he could see the shadows playing around under his eyelids, even after he let the darkeness overcome the light.
He soon dozed off and at once he was captured by his dreams. He entered into a black and white world, where the rain was pouring hard, very much the same as those comic book scenes. He had on a hat and a tie, and the only color you could see was the blue in his tie. He was wet, but he couldn't feel the wetness soaking into his skin. So naturally, he figured he was Superman, or someone like him.
He was soon flying, his blue tie flapping with the wind.
He felt a strange tugging and he hestitantly opened his eyes.
She smiled softly at him and asked, "What were you dreaming about?"
He said, "Nothing," knowing that she would not understand his wish to be just like Superman.
