The Astronaut and the Ballerina
She points and flexes her feet
Pretending to be a bailarina
and she twirls
as if she could in one movement
Become the woman she wanted to be
She looks up and smiles
Reaching for his hands
Her very own astronaut
Just back from a trip to the stars.
Instead she is grasping at the moon,
she tilts her head and says,
"Astronaut, where are you?
Ballerina can't live without you."
