woman,

Painting by Gustav Klimt

What a world a woman lives in,
With vivid colors
And well expressed emotions,
Loud, ringing laughter
Heart bursting with life
When certain times of the month
Where chocolate is her only friend
Or big hamburgers or vegan cakes
Surpised at her own tears
and the way her heart clenches

At a certain song, movie or situation
Tears that fall unheeded
and feelings that explode at the seams
Sometimes lingering months
Before they pour out
in a bittersweet melody
Loving so hard
Sometimes feeling empty
Yet joy that bubbles forth
Out of nowhere.

What a world a woman lives in
No one but herself would know.
