still you have made me to shine
The moon was smiling down at me tonight
A bit like the Cheshire cat, enticing me,
As the cold went up my legs and shook my body
I drew myself closer, digging my hands deeper into my pocket
My mind was far away, and it was as if I was floating,
Feet barely touching the ground,
Almost as if I had to physically place the soles of my feet on the ground
To come back to where I was.
I noticed that thinking of you wasn't so hard anymore
As I crossed the street, I gave the moon a last glance
It twinkled and grinned as I gazed at it for a long time
Then, as if the magic charm had passed,
I saw the cement before me
And kept walking.
